Good luck. Hope it goes well. I enjoyed the Tramadol they gave me after my bunion op!!
You are bound to be nervous but just think how much better you will be when it is healed. All the best. I hope all goes well for you.

Good luck. Hope all goes well.
Yeeehaaa, great news. Very happy for you. I'll be thinking of you.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Good luck Deejojo, and a speedy recovery xx
Good luck xx
I must have missed your post on your foot op. Hope it goes well today.
I am so pleased for you. Have a good recovery. I have had 3 cancellations for my foot op now. At the last attempt I actually got my gown on and my foot all marked up. Only to be told that they have taken trauma patients from other hospitals who take priority. I totally understand this but it doesn't help me with my work. The operation can't be done at another hospital because of the type of operation it is. I feel like I'm stuck in limbo.
Best of luck to you !
All the best for tomorrow x
Hope all goes well. X
Hi Deejo - I am the person to help then! I had bilateral bunion and toe shortening 3years ago to the day! How weird is that? I'm usually on the Lupus hub but also have inflammatory arthritis amongst other things so am also on here.
I have to say, the best thing I did is find out I'm allergic to morphine.. so had fentanyl for the op and then dehydrocodeine and paracetamol after the op.
Morphine makes me sick so I was unable to stop vomiting, or eat, or stand up until I stopped taking it. You might be fine though - do you know if you are ok with morphine? I hope you are OK with it.
So re the op - shortening of toes isn't too bad I found - it was the major bilateral bunionectomies that hurt - a lot. I've attached a copy of my post of x ray - so you might be able to see this if you look at this post on your computer as I don't think they show up on phones? Tell me more about what you are having done and I can tell you what to expect. Basically I was on crutches for 6 weeks and my feet totally bound. I had to heel walk for that time. Have you been told exactly what you need to do? I set everything up on my ground floor and needed care but that didn't happen due to total mix up on the pre op (humph) but my friend came in twice a day to help (as I live alone) and thank goodness for that. I slept on my massive sofa for for the first two weeks which was nice actually! And managed to get up the few stairs to the loo but you have to do it as the physio at the hospital who assesses you pre discharge. Or are you a day case? Do you have friends/family to help you? Or do you live with your partner and family?
I look forward to hearing more on what you are having done and will give you all the help I can.
Try not to worry, hugs, D
Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery 💐💕
