Does anyone use lloyds Echo/Direct and what is your experience using them. I have just signed up due to my local Lloyds being over worked and understaffed. When ever you go in the Prescription is never ready and always a half hour, 45 minute wait only to find out they dont have it all. So i thought id give the online system a go.

Lloyds Echo/Direct
I’ve just stopped using it because I was getting notifications all the time to order and the package wouldn’t fit in my mailbox. They seem to have a set time they will tell you to reorder so I would get a notification one day then another a couple of days later for another item and so on. Numerous packages. It’d be ok if you only have one or two prescriptions probably. My daughter uses it and likes it so you might too.
I use boots online repeat prescription service, ☝️ Not had a problem yet
My local chemist delivers. I thought that they all did. Obviously I am just lucky.
I can’t have medicines posted through my letter box, if I’m not in my poodles will devour the parcel !!! I changed my chemist from Lloyds because of a staff dispute .
I had to laugh at your post! My first good laugh of the day. Thank you.
Seriously though, it's a bit of a problem when that happens. Can't think of a solution other than some sort of box outside the front door - but if your door is exposed to passers -by that is hardly convenient. Fortunately, my door is at the side of the house and can't be seen from the road - but I'm not sure that medicines would be left there anyway.
I’m pleased you got a laugh, if you want a really good laugh get two miniature poodles , they are full of funny antics . This whole medical saga is big joke. I don’t know what’s going on today . Talk about a muddle!!!
A volunteer delivers my thyroid medicine and folic acid from the village pharmacy, And another volunteer collects my methotrexate injections from the hospital pharmacy. The biologic is delivered by Healthcare at Home . The former are put through the letter box , and the latter are delivered by the suppliers; so I'm lucky.
Your little dogs sound great fun - I hope you never trip over them; I can imagine them rushing about excitedly. I think I'll stick with a cat - although he does have a habit of getting under my feet.
Phew! How hot it has been today! I need a cooling drink.
Your Meds sound like a busy business . Yes it’s been very hot here too. I’m Bexhill on Sea .
I’ve got an old cat too . As I’m retired my dogs and cat keep me going and a sense of purpose .
From Penny. 😊
How nice to be by the sea in this weather - though it's come a bit late for the school children if they've returned to school. We're more inland - Tunbridge Wells - and it's a scorcher today. I don't cope too well with this heat; it knocks me out.
I've just booked my 12 weekly blood test for later this month, but there seems to be a shortage of vials to collect the blood according to the GP. So I'm not sure where that leaves me. Many others must be coming up against this. What is causing the shortage I don't know; we live in strange times where just about anything can happen!
Bertie, my cat, is elderly too and not in the best of health but he enjoys flopping out in a shady part of the garden. My silly husband is outside cutting the grass - not something to take on in this heat. But he won't listen!
Animals are great company- I can't imagine being without one. When Bertie came to us - quite unexpectedly - I was concerned we might die before him! He was was 4 years old at the time but we've managed to stagger on into our mid-80's. We just have to keep going!

It’s an NHS Service……so like rest of the health service it’s probably short of staff.
Not a good experience, they cannot deliver controlled drugs,.and if you need an additional new prescription, there is a delay of days. So although, I have problems each time at the chemist, I do have control., and I pick up any additional new prescriptions immediately.
I have my baricitinib delivered by Lloyds homecare. They come every three months. They ring you for a convenient day and time first. They send an email to confirm and another the day before. I have found them to be very good.
Hi Chunkypie. I set echo up about a year ago and initially had trouble as my GP did not have my latest prescription on record from my Rheumi. So there was some faffing getting them to update the record. Then when I'd asked for sulfasalazine EN coated they sent me the uncoated variety which I find makes me sick. Lloyds said it was because that's all my GP had authorised. So I had to plead my case with my GP before he accepted that I'd need the gastro resistant tablets. All this took months during which I was having to get prescriptions direct from the hospital. But now finally the record is straight it works well, but make sure you request new pills 2 weeks in advance. It's no fun when you're down to the last couple of days and ringing around chasing for emergency prescriptions and trying to find a chemist that has some in stock. Good luck!
I used them when they were known as Echo. My GP will only let me order a repeat when I’m down to one week left. I was always getting ‘waiting for stock’ notifications for Methotrexate, so it never arrived in time for my dose.
As others have said, if you use them, make sure you order as early as possible. Good luck.
Looking at the comments its seems it works well as long as your GP gets his/her butt into gear. Oh well i see how it goes lol thank you all
Signed up recently due to lengthy chemist delays. Two orders on time already and a change if medication easy too. 👌
I have used them since the first lockdown. I order what I need and ignore their suggestions. Also order well ahead. Had no real problems.
