Been on Admab for 2 months now with a generally trouble free ride, however I have been experiencing increasingly dry mouth and increasingly blocked sinuses at night. Has anyone else experienced similar with Admab ?

I’m on this medication too but already had a dry mouth, and eyes due to sicca and it is no worse. I also have allergic rhinitis so have blocked sinuses. Sorry I can’t help as I already had these issues before starting the Amgevita. We all react so differently to the meds too don’t we? I had headaches when I first started the Amgevita but they eased too and I have no side effects from the Amgevita and count my blessings for this. x

Humira gave me extra sinus issues as I already had them anyhow! It was being very stuffed up first thing I noticed more and not being able to blow my nose. I was only on H for 4 months as it did nothing at all for me. Have you tried the Sterimar sea salt range of decongestants? I use them and they are very good.

Hi John140, I moved from Humira (Adalimumab) to Amgevita (an Adalimumab analogue) last year. I had Sjogren's anyway, so already had dry eyes and mouth. I found Humira didn't have much effect on this, but Amgevita has made it much worse. I wake every morning with a mouth like the Sahara and often use my dry mouth gel, which is vile, but does the job of stimulating saliva. In turn, the dry mouth is affecting my gums and teeth, so I'm not best pleased. Having said that, the medication is doing a good job of controlling my RA - I have less pain now than I've had for many years. I suppose it's a choice we all have to make, balancing the relative importance of various symptoms. I've had so much pain and joint damage since I was 15, that the dry mouth will always come second.

Not what you're looking for?
