Mine are always cold. I wear gloves indoors a lot and often put a couple hand warmers inside. You'll also find me with my hands wrapped firmly around a warm cup of tea/coffee when sitting down. I think the only time they get warm is in the summer. 9 months of the year they're cold.
Who else has cold hands? : Mine are always cold. I wear... - NRAS
Who else has cold hands?
Hi Alice, my hands and feet are always cold even in the height of summer. I have Raynauds as well as RA so may be worth a call to your rheumy team. x
I have RA only but my hands are always hot... my hubby does not have hands are so cold he wears gloves in the house . Gp said just one of those things
I've always had cold hands and feet. Himself has said "where have you hands, woman!'
I used to have this problem years ago, have something warm to eat and drink, in the winter my hands get cold, but not as much when I was a child, keep warm, whatever the weather.
Me too (and my feet).
I also have cold hands which seem to have got worse recently, feet have always been cold. Rheumy said it is probably Raynauds for which medication is available if required, sorry can't remember the name but it is also used for high blood pressure. This is another auto-immune disease which I think is to do with circulation, it can also affect the feet.Currently I prefer to live with mine rather than take more medication, it is easier in the summer when it is warmer.
Hope it helps to know you are not alone.
Hi Alice, I used to have cold hands all time. Turned out it was because I have an underactive thyrohyoid gland. Now always warm.
My hands and feet r always cold ended up being under active thyroid as well
Nearly always! And my feet... I remember my GP looking at my toenails once and commenting how cold my feet were despite having just taken off two pairs of socks!
