Hi. I contacted my rheumatologist as my left foot pain is so bad at the mo and i sent her pictures. She’s said while I’m waiting for an appointment to see her to come through I should get some really good cushioned insoles. There are so many out there do you have any high recommendations please? Xx

It really depends on what you need, is it your arches, plantar fasciitis, achy feet.?

I'm not selling but I've used verywellfit.com for advice and types of inserts. At the moment im just using Dr Scholl gel pads as mine from orthoptist have worn out and they are not too expensive x

I wear Hoka sliders. There designed to wear after distance running for recover. Really comfy. I have knackered feet and am a runner and nothing i have wore even come close. Very light and soft with really thick sole. Little expensive but well made and will last for years. I have 2 pair blue an black. My blue pair i must of had for over 3 years, still in good nic and am in them everyday.

Sketchers go walk 4 are all I can wear. Lovely lightweight cushioning well worth getting and trying . I can’t live without mine . Seriously 😳

Hi,

As you are currently having to self direct regarding correct insoles I would suggest the following...

1. Stand in a tray of water or paint the soles of your feet 🙃

2. Stand on a piece of card or something else that will show up the damp/paint imprint you leave when you step off.

3. Compare you impressions with photo below

That should give an indication of what type of insoles you need to get until you can get to the appointment

All the best

Ali

I use Pedaq cushioned inner soles as my custom orthotics don’t fit in certain shoes. They give good support and comfort but aren’t too rigid.
