I am off to Australia and have RA and I swell quite badly on flights. Does anyone have any reccomendations for flight socks?
Thanks

Why don’t you ask your rheumy nurse if she recommends compression socks/stockings rather than flight socks.
Also make sure you do foot & ankle exercises regularly whilst sitting (look them up on line) , & when the crew are not serving food/drinks get up & walk about as often as you can.
Also…keep well hydrated…with water…avoid alcohol until you are on that Aussie beach!
Enjoy your trip down under!
Hi. Your GP nurse can give you a doppler test to see if you need compression stockings.
If you buy without a prescription you’ll just be guessing what you need.
Have a lovely time🌞
What's a Doppler test please CripLady? X
It checks blood flow in your legs.
I use these : Calves Kelson (2 Pairs) Compression Socks/Stockings for Men & Women.
Available from Amazon
amazon.co.uk/Compression-St...
but they wouldn't suit everybody.....
I've had a DVT and just bought some from Boots as I take Riveroxaban so I was probably at the least risk on the flight! But I was advised to move about by writing name with feet every half hour, walk up and down and drink plenty of water and no booze.
Maybe try the compression sock I know when my legs swell I put on a nice but not to tight pair of compression socks and they work really well plus they are nice and warm too of its cold where you are. But maybe... good luck
