Sorry to keep posting but I got told by GP yesterday that won’t get my vaccine for weeks I’m at my wits end. Don’t understand why not I’m prediabetic have RA flaring at present and no appointment in sight. Are there lots of people still waiting I feel like it’s only me. Please let me know if you have had vaccine and if you are on Benapali and 50 or under. Thank you sorry but my stress levels through the roof😢

I think there are hundreds and thousands of people like you as you are in Group 6. The UK is doing extremely well but in most places they have only just started on Group 5.
But at the speed they are going it’s unlikely to be long since the UK has loads of vaccine unlike other countries.
Do remember it’s only about 10 weeks since the vaccinations started, so quite remarkable to have got so far.
And at your age you really aren’t at high risk so try not to stress. Carry on being sensible, and hopefully not too long.
Thank you 😊 I think the flaring is not helping me
Thank you all for your supportive messages 🙏🏼😊
If you google OMNI vaccine calculator and put in your details, it gives you an estimate of when you are due. I am 58 with RA on methotrexate and Humira. The website says I will get my jab between 22/2 and 26/3. Hope this helps. X
I’m BAME 45 and group 6 and had a text last Friday to have my vaccination and was able to book 9am Monday just gone. I’m in south Devon. I was very surprised as I was expecting it to be a few more weeks. I think it really depends on where you are in the country but maybe check you are registered for texts at your GP as I think letters went out the same day so if I’d waited for a letter who knows what appointments would have been left when I tried to book. Maybe double check they definitely have you in the right group too.
Sorry for your reasons to be anxious. It’s unsettling when people keep talking about having had the vaccine. My experience is that the appointment can come at very short notice so it’s important to keep a look out. And remember that it takes a while for us to develop immunity so I’m not changing my behaviour. Stay safe.
I can't understand the way it is done either. I have a friend who is 58 and she had hers done about six weeks ago even though she doesn't have as many health problems as I do. I was getting worried about it as I am 69 and have many and complex health problems. Then three weeks ago I received a letter to tell me I could make my appointment at a nearby centre, which I did. The following day, I have a phone call from my GP's surgery asking me if I wanted to go for the vaccine, so it all came at once and at short notice.
Thank you all for messages and sharing your experiences it’s made me feel so much more relaxed 🤗🙏🏼
Great news 119 said I should have vaccine but couldn’t find me on system and woah and behold within the hour I got a phone call from my GP asking if I could go in straight away 😊😊😊🙏🏼
I should be group 6 but my GP has me down as 9 and refuses to change it despite being on immune suppressants. Apparently the GP Receptionist seems to know more about what group i should be in than the Government, WHO & The Green Book :/
