Daylight - it`s only 33 days to the equinox which means that the darkest quarter of the year is gone! The autumn equivalent of today is 23rd October when we still had summer time and sunset was an hour later than now. We have to wait nearly five weeks till the end of March before we put the clocks forward to get that evening hour back. There is probably a reason why autumn is different to spring; it would be good to know

I always feel relieved when the winter solstice is over and we can begin to look forward to lighter and longer days - I know it's stupid when we have the advantages of artificial light and heating. Is it a hangover from growing up without electricity when a small child I wonder? But lots of other people have said that they feel the same.
