Has anyone that is on immune suppressants had the Covid vaccine and if so do you know if antibodies are going to be monitored in blood work by rheumatologists can form a true picture of how the vaccine protects us .
Covid vaccine : Has anyone that is on immune... - NRAS
Covid vaccine
Find it strange that rheumatologists aren’t on it already especially as all unknown how well vaccine works for us . Let’s hope they are as otherwise it won’t be measured in the broader studies.
My sister is being monitored, a huge study. And all her details taken so I imagine the study will include people with all sorts of conditions and on all sorts of drugs and then the analysis of the data will be able to identify significant issues. The Rheumatology Alliance are also involve in studies.
Rheumatologists are not immunologists. So better for this to be done by the right specialist. Anyway we need our rheumatologists to concentrate on giving day to day treatment to their patients!
Doubt it unless you are on a trial....would no no good unless monitored.Look up the trials on the vaccines using whichever drug you are interested in.
I had the Pfizer vaccine four days ago. I have been asking exactly the same question as you. They tell us we will not get the same level of protection as other people, so it would be really good to know how much/little protection we do have.
Hi , yes wouldn’t it and since nobody on any vaccine clinical trials who were immune suppressed it’s all mind boggling.
