Spoke to my rheumy consultant yesterday...his advice was to go for the vaccine, but try to not take methotrexate for two weeks before (I’m on nordimet mtx injections, hydroxychloriquine and sulfasalazine) and resume a week later.
That's strange. The research has shown that pausing for two weeks after a vaccination gives the best result. See the BMJ ard.bmj.com/content/77/6/89...
Interesting, thanks. One of the other links on your referred page suggests 2 weeks before and 2 after, too. Both mention possibilities of RA flare as a result, so there may be some compromise in my rheumy’s advice.
