From smoke signals to NHS app! A great communication and information tool. Plus - something else I wish I knew at the beginning!

Hi-de-hi peeps ☺

I am sure that you guys know about the NHS app already. But those of you who may not know about this invaluable source of information, I have put a link below. I had a rheumatology appointment yesterday and thought I'd have a look for any notes. On there I have seen the letter of application for my new biologic. I thought that they would have to wait for my blood results before it was sent, but it would seem not - it's made my day!

I use it Alltwen time to get blood results, order meds and read any reports on visits etc.

Also I hadn't realised at the beginning of my RA journey, that I could have bought a yearly prescription. I spent loads for the first 6 months! Link below:

I was not aware before I read your post so thank you. I have now been on mobile and signed up, just waiting for them to check information. I am signed up to an app with my local hospital but do have to attend another hospital as well. Think it could be really helpful as usually waiting wages for letters from the hospitals to arrive, hopefully with this I could find out what the letters say instead of worrying for weeks. So again Thank you so much. really helpful.😀

You're welcome 😊In fact you have reminded me to add to my original post about buying a yearly prescription - thanks. Not that I think we should pay for having a chronic disease 🤔

My app never notified me that I should be self isolating until I opened it and it said you have 7 days to go . I can’t believe it don’t send you a text or maybe a automated call . All my notifications are in so I don’t understand why it didn’t warn me .
