Oh Iā€™m mad as hell . I just had a letter telling me that my delivery company for my meds have been trying to contact me but no answer on my phone Iā€™m to ring and contact them ( closed at the weekend) checked my phone yes this number was on it 3 times in one day on the 8-11-2020 so only tried on the one day. During my work hours no message left. They even have my email address on my letter. They didnā€™t try that route. Why didnā€™t the hospital say Lloyds had been unable to contact me šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬future service doesnā€™t bode well if is what the call efficient service.

Sometimes you do wonder. I have been trying now for over 8 years for NHS to remove an old land line number from an address I haven lived in since 2012, yet it still is quoted to me at hospital appointments despite them saying they've removed it from their system. So hope you get this sorted and you get your meds delivered.

That's just so typical, I keep telling the hospital that Dr this and Dr that is no longer my doctor and that they haven't been at the Medical Centre for several years so there's no point addressing letters to them but all they say is well, it's the first one that comes up????

I had the same with a named GP who retired almost five years ago (who I never saw) who they mention as part of ID checks on attending hospital appointments or have written some reports addressed to her. I have always kept them updated with any changes but no the old land line and a doctor I never saw still pop up.

The system needs serious updating and a retraining course in efficiency and care.

Do you remember when the NHS systems crashed not that long ago, it was discovered that some parts of the NHS were still using XP editions of software on their computers and some places still relied on fax machines and had pagers for some workers.

šŸ˜® That's just awful, it's almost unbelievable. I remember going back to 2004 - 2011 (roughly), I used to go to the hospital to have intravenous bisphosphonate infusions every three months. They had a file on me that looked a little thin and when I questioned the receptionist about it, the file only went back to when I had my accident at the beginning of 2004. A few months later, when I went there, I noticed there was a good sized file there - this was the other file on me that began when I was first treated as a child. So one time there would be part of my file and another time there would be the remainder. I questioned the receptionist about it again and she made a note that the two files should be put together as one but when I last went there about seven/eight years ago, I'm sure there was still only part of the file being used.

Wow springcross, that's really not acceptable. I hope that they have sorted this out and your file is together now. xx

I don't know as I don't attend any more and I suppose everything is now on computer instead of written (yikes, on computer - that's no safeguard is it?) xx

Hi, if itā€™s the same over exuberant company as I use, they send a grotty letter to you and copy it to your Rheumy department if they havenā€™t managed to speak with you in a few days to say youā€™ll be removed from their list if you donā€™t respond in so many days! Theyā€™re quick to send it and I had been trying to contact them for days but they said they were closed for the weekend on a recorded message and then it said they werenā€™t answering calls for 48hours! This week they sent me a text telling me when they were coming and then two days later phoned me and changed it! Said they had no knowledge of sending out a text/date to me! šŸ˜³

Oh thatā€™s so frustrating Iā€™d be mad too. Mind you it was worse for me a few years ago when rheumy cancelled my appointments constantly and then sent me a letter saying Iā€™d missed my appointment and if I didnā€™t attend the next one theyā€™d remove me from the system. Luckily I kept all the letters and as I was in a bad way with a rotten consultant at the time I got so frustrated with it that eventually I had to go and see my MP because I got nowhere with every other route. One short note from him and the problem never happened again except of course for the cancellations this year but that is to be expected. Iā€™ve used a few health care companies and Iā€™ve been lucky enough to have pretty good service with them šŸ¤žit continues. I hope you get to the bottom of your issue and itā€™s only a glitch because people are still working from home and sometimes with very limited resources and equipment.

Lloyd's deliver one of my meds. I always have to phone them when I'm getting low. They never phone me. Every time they say they don't have a prescription, I tell them they do, they go away to check, come back and say they do have a prescription after all. They are not the best. For my other med I have health care at home. Never a problem with them.
