Some information about the new drug Upadacitinib

The drug is called Upadacitinib, it is a JAK inhibitor, and can be found on NICE offering guidelines. Seems that it is expensive so you need to fail on all the other conventional drugs first! £805 per pack of 28 - it is taken daily..

It is promising but not without its problems...

I seen a study about this from Japan. It only had around 200 people taking part. There also seems to be some nasty side effects and they haven’t been able to determine how common these are yet. Sorry Philip Schofield not a miracle drug!

I really don’t think there are any drugs with 100% efficacy and no or few side effects. It has been approved by NICE though.
