I was asked to participate in a survey. It requires me to be swab tested each week for a month and then monthly for another 11. I said yes...
Just wondering how widespread this survey is? Anyone else doing this?

Hi; yes my husband and I have been doing this 5 or 6 weeks now. I live in Lancashire and 2 of my friends have had a letter too. It’s conducted very safely. The people who bring the swabs to you have masks and gloves and don’t enter your home. They pass the swabs to you in plastic bags and you do it yourself and hand it back. You will be rung up if your test is positive. It’s reassuring for us whilst contributing to the research.
Yes I do it once a month xx
My 71year old neighbour is part of the survey. Unfortunately it gives him permission he reckons to visit and stay with his younger girlfriend and generally disregard most covid rules since last May as he tests negative. Strangely his lady friend has covid antibodies so must have had covid 19.
I gag when my tongue is held down with that wooden stick by the GP so no, but 3 friends of mine are doing it. Thats a couple in this village and also another close by in Kent.
Yes myself and hubby are doing this . I'm near Reading Berkshire. Have done 3, waiting on the 4th,all negative so far .
