Crohn's disease and enthesitis .Anyone has experienced the same?

Hello everyone,I have mild Crohn's disease (off meds)since 2009 which is turning on and off seasonable(mostly every spring ).This May I had a bad flare which ended up in ER. My Gl told me to start budecol. This worked good for me.On June I noticed a mild pain in my left heel. Within a week the pain became intolerable and suddenly l couldn't even walk. After many orthopedics ,Physicians and physiotherapists visits(and many interventions such as corticosteroid injection, physical therapies etc-all with no success ),a doctor told me it's enthesitis of achille's tendon from crohn's. On August I noticed the same pain in my right heel .Few days later I woke up in the morning with conjunctivitis in my left eye.I went again in the ER. They suggest me to see a Reymi and so I did. He told me this is called entheropathic arthritis .He found out many issues I never imagined they could be linked with my Crohn's and always thinking it was because of my job . He prescribed me 80 mg of Humira pen every other week.He didn t mention how long would it take to work .The only thing he said is that it would be completely fine and there is no reason for a surgery ,but I have to take care of my Crohn's because this could be the difficult part. Also,he said I have to be on this drug for a lifetime. My Gl told me that usually enthesitis resolved within a week with Humira but it could be a gradually relief .So,yesterday I had my third injection.I'm able to walk again. My gut is better than ever after the second injection ,but I have constantly the same sense of inflammation in both of my heels. Previous week I took the results of my second MRI of my left foot which says that actually there is no improvement compared with the previous one even if the pain has reduced in 1/2.For now I'm waiting my GI's response for what I have to do next(another Reymi visit ,add a second drug or we should wait until Humira takes effect). In any case it seems weird that Humira took control of my gut so fast but needs more time for my heels. Anyone else who has experienced something relevant???🥺🥺🥺🌺🌺🌺

I’m on a different biologic (for RA )but I never had simultaneous improvement everywhere it was more gradual as the weeks went on so hopefully it’ll be the same for you and you will gradually notice improvements.

Thanks for your reply. This problem with achilles tendons has made me with a serious disability ,unable to walk for the last 3,5 months ,and actually it's even worst from my crohn's .So, I feel a little bit impatient to get rid of the pain and go back to my daily routine.😩😩🍑🍑

That is really interesting about the Achilles pain, I to have the same with the left leg and heal pain.I have high calprotectin in stool samples and am waiting for a capsule endoscopy to rule out IBD.

Achilles pain / short tight tendons has caused so much problems I ended up on crutches . After months of physio I am on a walking stick some days I don’t need it but the minute my RD plays up I’m back to square one.
