I’ve always wanted to go to South America. For as long as I can remember,
Yesterday, I put down a deposit on a trip to circumnavigate South America in 2022. 79 days away.
A huge commitment. Can I afford it? Not yet. Can I take 79 days out of my business? Not yet.
But, if I don't, what happens if my RA goes nuts and I can never go. I was in a wheelchair 4 years ago it was so aggressive. Now I’m fine. For now....
So if not now when? Seize the day and just do it. Whilst we can.
Am I excited? What do you think. Apologies for the bonkers lockdown hair. I’m generally a little more groomed than this. But I have enjoyed the freedom of the tyranny of groomed expectations 😂
Life doesn’t wait for us to be ready. We can spend all of our lives ‘getting ready’. Sometimes you just have to do it and throw caution to the wind.
Lots of love ❤️❤️❤️

Oh wow! Carpe Diem! You are so right and taking action and then working towards the trip will be wonderful and uplifting. Well done, you've inspired me!
I did wobble and think, perhaps I should wait a year and do it in 2023. But I probably would have never booked it in reality. So grabbed the phone and my credit card and did it. Then thought, what have I done hahaha. Now I’m so excited and can’t wait. And we never know how we will be in 2, 3, 10 years time. Now to find new clients 😂😂😂😂
My son did it last year and other rather arduous very long treks across Peru . He loved every minute . Looks amazing in his photos. I think the journey alone just to get there would finish me off these days 😂
I think I can get some kind of excursion via the trip I'm on. I'm going alone so will probably stick close to more organised type trips as it's an area I've never been to before.
Absolutely!! Go go go. You'll regret it otherwise and think what if... My mum always said how much she wanted to go to the isle of arran. Never happened. Need to do these things. We always think we have all the time in the world and it's not true.
Hope it all works for you. Having had to cancel or postpone countless trips away, a big family holiday, a smaller holiday, a big and a small Golden Wedding Anniversary parties this year I'm all booked out! Can't imagine any holidays at present so it will be last minute plans only for us for a while.( Unexpected problems with hubby rather than me although I'm pretty unfit too)
I've had two refunds so far this year. Battling ABTA for a third as company went pop. Next year, I'm going up to the arctic circle with a group of friends, then its south America 🍾🍾🍾🥳
I’m impressed . Life is now and we must grab each and every happiness. Well done . I am determined to be my best me and experience as much as I can . 👏👏👏🌟🤗🤗xx
Thank you - me too! I have too much I want to do and need to get on and do it. If you see what I mean, haha
How wonderful and so sensible of you to do it before too long. Your photo is so lovely and you look such a happy and carefree person.
One of my items on my bucket list was to see Paul McCartney in concert as I had wanted to do so for many many years, I managed it in 2015 and it was fantastic. My next item on my list is one I am working on now, and is to write a book. I first said I would write a book one day when I was eight years old, but I didn't think I would be 69 before I started on it! I don't have too many things left on my list but would love to go to Switzerland one day. I can only manage things like a cruise now as I am in a wheelchair and my husband pushes me around in it and there is so much to do on the ships. We had one booked for April this year, but of course, it was cancelled. I would love to go on the one that goes to the Caribbean.
I have found a love for cruises too. I'm booked to go to the arctic next year with a group of friends. We swapped it as we were booked for Barbados, but there was a flight there and I had a wobble about it. Covid and RA plus being 6 feet tall don't mix. Fancy a private jet though 🤣🤣
How fantastic that you got to see your hero. It's what life is all about isn't it. We work flipping hard and deserve all the fun we can get.
Hopefully you'll get to the Caribbean soon. It will be strange going out and about again I must admit.
