So I've got my first appointment at rheumatology next week which is good. It's just a video call though which I'm not happy with but they've no idea when actual appointments will happen.

Appointment
Thats great news. I'm so glad x
Make sure as you would in a face to face that you have all the information in front of you or to hand. Perhaps make a list of questions, concerns or information you want to ask, mention or share and don't be firghtened to ask or ask them to repeat something if you are not sure. I find it helpful when I have telephone consultations with my GP, as you can easily get thrown, side tracked or simply forget and then once the appointment has gone you wished you had said or asked this or that. Hope it goes well for you. Take care
I have my first Rheumy video appointment next week too. Haven't seen Rheumy since last year! Was down for 3 monthly checks as disease is active. Covid has a lot to answer for....
It’s not ideal but it is better than just a telephone call or a very long delay as some others are experiencing.
Pippy has given good advice about preparing for the session and taking notes. If you have a way of recording the conversation that could be very useful too. I hope it goes well and that you can get started on treatment soon.
I'm glad you have an appointment Dismal and a video call is better than nothing I suppose. I hope it all goes well for you. x
Lots of really good advice re notes etc. Plus remember to use NRAS website for further detail, advice, booklets, helpline etc. You’re not on your own....lots of support available, so keep reading, keep posting, keep learning. Very best of luck...
