Beth, I am so sorry to hear that, can you email rheumatology with exactly what you’ve put in post above; you can’t have that for another 3 months; they are still there for you. Also I rang my gp re blood tests & they said any probs & they could expedite rheumatology appt for me so that may be an option with yours too x

Definitely agree ... ring/email your rheumy team. Don’t sit and wait. 🤗

I don't understand why you are not on medication. I carried on with my biologic as soon as the wound had healed up and never stopped MTX. Be persistent, contact them. You can't go on like this.

Whilst it's normal to halt meds just prior to ops it's unusual not to resume them post op. What did your Rheumy Nurse say when you saw her, or did you have a telephone consultation?

Sorry to hear that you’re suffering.

I agree with others, you cannot continue in such pain and should call your rhuemy.

I had ankle replacement and a heel fusion on 28 February. This unfortunately became infected which means that I just restarted biologics and other rhuemy meds last week.

However, I’ve had multiple joint replacements now and I’ve always had to come off meds, 3 weeks before op and if everything is healing ok, I am told to restart the 3 weeks post op.

I’m not sure why you’ve not been allowed to do so?

Hoping you can get something sorted out very soon x
