Since last posting on here, I have not had any further answers to my original concern about rheumatoid arthritis symptoms. I was scheduled for an mri which got cancelled due to Covid-19. But since lock down I have noticed symmetrical lumps on top of my big toes where the tendon meets the middle joint. They are both semi-firm to touch and also ache if pushed too hard. I am aware of rheumatoid nodules but am unsure if this is what’s happening on my toes.
As a background, I have had bilateral/systemic joint pain for the last 9 months including Inflammation in fingers, heat and redness in knee joints and itchy skin.

Hi. They look like nodules to me but I’m not a doctor. I had two similar on the palm of my right hand a few months back which appeared quite suddenly and then disappeared just as suddenly after a few months.
Looks as though it could be bursitis, though only examination would tell for sure. Either way keeping your feet up as much as is reasonably possible & alternating cold/heat treatment to the area for a few days wouldn't harm. Are you prescribed an NSAID as part of your treatment? If not an otc one will help the ease inflammation & pain until you can have it looked at. Bathing your feet in a soothing warm water Epsom Salt foot bath will be a treat.
I have a lump on the side of my foot and a large nodule on my middle finger joint nearest to the nail. The finger one was diagnosed as Osteo arthritis due to age I’m 53. I am aware though that this can be a result of RA the foot one is recent and undiagnosed due to the lockdown x
Buristis lumps ? just leave alone and they go eventually just takes time. Do not try to remove by any means as not a blister just a squidgy lump. I had one on my right big toe its gone now though. Make sure your shoes have plenty of toe room and wearing sandals will help now.
