Me too. I think that we're likely to get lots from now on. Mind you, a friend's partner was told to shield very early in the process (he has a serious lung condition) and she said that he's had numerous texts ever since so maybe we've just finally been added to the list? I would guess that RA was considered after other health problems e.g. cancer...
I might be tempted to opt out if they're just going to be "doom and gloom" messages 🙄😏😂
Whilst there may be some relaxation of lockdown after Sundays briefing, it is unlikely that there will be any major immediate change. Scotland definitely and Ireland and Wales are increasingly not happy with the rumours coming out of Westminster about the relaxation, the view being it is just too soon.
Sunday will tell, but Scotland will stay as it is for now.

Why oh why can’t they all get together and make a decision. What are they going to do ....put the military across the bordes between Scotland and England and Wales and England .
For goodness sake we’re all the United Kingdom...... we all want to stay healthy....... let’s all talk to each other and get things sorted!
Sort out self rule when we are not dropping like flies .... Who cares who makes the decision as long as it’s the right decision?
Loosening of the lockdown will go too fast if the newspapers are to be believed. The R number is too high in the three nations, Westminster needs to slow down. London has always been ahead, when coronavirus first took hold, and now when easing off a wee bit.
We will all be ready to move together in a few weeks, or London goes it alone, other countries are taking this approach, the red and green zones in France for example. .
Of Course London will be worse than most places.... it is the most populated UK city Per sqvfoot,and also the most cosmopolitan .........we’ve got people coming in from all over the world bringing their nasty little viruses with them.
Really feel right at this moment Ms S and Mr ? in Wales need to take themselves off to Westminster and have a good old chat....& get their opinions across to BJ in private not all over the newspapers or the TV.
Don’t they realise they’re just causing the fear to escalate...by stating what they intend to do before they actually know for sure what Westminster is actually going to do?

It takes 2 to communicate. BJ knows who and where they are it doesn’t take much to email them if a phone call is too much . All his emails and telephone calls will be vetted.

It takes the 3 to get together...... now is not the time to put their personal career ambitions in first place...... it doesn’t matter who contacts who as long as they speak to each other....& try to do their best for the whole United Kingdom. Independence for both countries can surely wait another year?
If Scotland and Wales feel they are being left out they should say so to Boris in private not in the Daily Mail or whichever rag they are speaking to.
People are dying ......now is not the time for personal ambition for any politician.
Sorry AC, it was Westminister that leaked to the papers first, the Nations then responded.
But why did they have to go public.? Why not privately contact the private secretaries or whoever they talk through? Surely they just want the whole thing settled in a grown up manner so that the whole country can get back to work & the sick can be looked after?
I am not championIng Westminster ...it leaks like a sieve...always has....but washing the dirty linen in the newspapers is not helping is it?
It is all very sad, but Westminister is the big boy and should lead by example. I have no patience for leaders who cannot lead.
I for one am delighted that the First Minister is not unlocking Scotland too early. I'd rather do another couple of weeks now relax lockdown gently and hopefully avoid a second wave of coronavirus later in the year. If the First Minister can manage that by parting from Westminster then so be it. We need to do what is right for us, not Boris and he needs to know that.
What makes you think this has anything to do with independence?
First Ministers are only doing the jobs they’re paid to do, to look after the citizens of their country.
France is opening different areas at different times using red and green zones.
If we were to use the logic some are applying to UK then the whole of Europe would need to leave lockdown together because of borders.

You don't make public statements and inform newspapers, and then say on the BBC the Nations will be at the COBRA meeting tomorrow!
Rather it is Westminster that leaked information that changes would be forthcoming to the newspapers mid week, and then said on Wednesday evenings update people should buy newspapers (!?) . This was before speaking to the three nations, the Nations then responded saying, no it is too soon.
Westminster are now pulling back, the information late yesterday and today (after criticism), is much more moderate, saying any changes to lockdown would be small and the lockdown would still hold after Monday.
Giving information to the public mid week, that the lockdown might be relaxed on Monday was rather silly, it could have been interpreted by some that going out at the weekend wasn't such a big deal, as by Monday we would all be out anyway.
Nothing much will change tomorrow, we will all move forward together , with minor differences which we have always had. It seems Boris has been rightly reighned in.
I heard they are all working together but announcements are all coming out at different times. Republic of Ireland is different and they’ve already said places will reopen from 18th May.
Yes I've been getting the texts since yesterday too. I suspect it's just that someone has (finally) set up a more centralised system and we all get them "at the click of a button" rather than the more localised notifications that have been happening to date.
I'm also feeling increasingly inclined to opt out if they're going to keep nagging me. I've already decided what's right for me (for now) and would really prefer not to keep getting reminders all the time... although in truth,I'll probably end up sticking with it (at least for now) just in case I miss anything I should really know

I’m only keeping them as proof for my employer. Looks like schools will be back soon

I honestly don't think the schools should reopen. This Government has lost the plot if they ever had it in the first place. Testing is the only way out of this. Mass testing. Isolation of the infected. Then you can move forward. My daughters boss died of the Coronavirus. Not one of his colleagues have been tested. So there is no contact tracing being carried out. He died over a week ago. Not one of his colleagues have been contacted. My daughter thinks she has had a mild form of Coronavirus as do 3 of her colleagues. They are youth workers for goodness sake. It's a complete joke. How many children are carrying the virus. No-one knows! I despair now.
I agree. I don’t see how we can open up while the poor souls are still passing away like they are. Germany is closing back up again. Why is the world not working together. Australia nailed it. I’ve rather resigned myself to staying put until there is a vaccine. I have severe asthma that has put me on the shielding list as well as this ☹️

Yes biofreak your right although generally children are not getting covid seriously they can be carriers. Super spreaders is the term used in education yet teachers have no PPE and not testing. These children in school at the moment parents are front line workers. In my school I know for a fact there are 3 ITU Nnurses and 3 Consultants 1,ITU ,2. Chest consultants and quite a few care workers???? Where is the safety??
I have friends with children who are saying that even if the schools do open up, they won't send their kids back until September, and possibly not even then if things haven't drastically improved. Even if they are low risk, most people are going to err on the side of caution as far as their children are concerned and I do wonder how many will feel the same... after all, the government can't (easily) force people to send them back...

The Scottish schools close for the summer holidays at the end of June , it's now the 2nd week in May. I can't see them getting the buildings organised for social distancing. Give teachers time to plan, several weeks would be needed and get the children back for what...a couple of weeks...to close for summer again ?
I too have not opted out in case I miss something useful to know.
I feel the same as you. Texts only just started last week now being bombarded with them. Never had a latter from them only GP so not sure why all the sudden activity.
As I think I mentioned above, I suspect there is now a more centralised system which makes it easier to send out text to everyone at once.
I'm starting to really wish they wouldn't though... just received another one this morning and I'm personally finding them neither helpful, reassuring nor informative

I don't know which supermarket(s) you're with but I can't say my "priority" status with Tescos has been much help at all... and I had to phone them, even to get that

I have all the big ones . I have registered 8 times again this week when I had the text which gave a number to register if having problems... still waiting
I had to ring as well but now it’s all set up and running ok. I believe Asda are doing a fixed one hour delivery slot that you choose and will have every week going forward (if you want it)
I really wish Tesco did that. At least as far as I can tell, there's no way of booking a fixed weekly slot so I have to remember to rebook every couple of weeks and even then, it's touch and go whether there are priority (or any) slots available... though admittedly does seem to be getting just a little better in the last few weeks...
I was hoping to post a screen shot here but can’t. If Tescos have sorted you out as a priority person on their system then you should have the option link that says ‘Priority Slots’ when you go to book a delivery. If you haven’t got link to press that they haven’t let you in to that service.
Thank you but yes I have that priority link (next to the one to book hourly slots), which allows me to book what seems to be an 8 hour "window" (either 10 - 6 or 2 - 10) but they still get booked up very quickly and often several weeks in advance.
Maybe it's just my area that still doesn't have enough capacity...
Oh good. Maybe they do get booked up... I can only book one a week and it only opens up one week ahead I think.

No I’m not on any list even though I have been confirmed I’m on the shielding list. I’ve rang every number going 🤷🏽♀️oh well hubby will have to keep shopping even though he’s working long hours and he’s rubbish even with a list 😂😂

Have you registered with the gov? It’s worth it to keep trying. Such an arduous process but when it kicks in its good. I have no one who can shop for me so my local community has given me someone on the road that can get a few things for me ... the things I can’t get in my delivery. We’ve become friends too which is nice.

I’ve registered 8 times 🙄 there is no way of committing with them it just fill in and wait. I have been in touch with my clinic who said I’m on the list 🤷🏽♀️given up now

Are you registered with any of them from before all the covid thing for online deliveries? I think you only hear automatically if you are already a customer. Call them ... it’s hard work getting through. Don’t click the option to ask about delivery slots it will just throw you off the line. Click for any urgent for today option and then you get to speak to someone.
Scotland might permit some small relaxation too on Monday, but nothing major, our R number is just sitting under 1 (0.9 the last I heard). The Government kinda suggested mid week that bigger changes would come , I don't think that will happen now.
I heard on TV that Wales is in a more difficult situation than Scotland as people work and live on either side of the border, so crossing from Wales to England is a very regular occurrence, and the roads are more difficult to police.
Whilst that does happen along the Scottish / English border it is not so common.
What border controls there will be, who knows, maybe none.
Only on what I have seen on the Welsh news and in my own experience and saying at least by car there are three main roads to get into cardiff. The east, west and north,but the police were stopping vehicles from Newport to Cardiff on the main road into Cardiff way before they got any where near the centre/cardiff bay that was to the east of the city, to the north of the city again the police were stopping vehicles around the gabalfa interchange /North Road area again pretty far from entering the centre or any attractions. The west from the Culverhouse Cross direction has normally got a heavy police presence anyway but if the forces along the England/Wales boarders could work together that may stem the flow and help keep both nations safe.
I thought Wales might be doing something different when I received my second shielding letter telling me to continue self isolating until June 15. Whereas I believe the UK gov is telling people to continue self isolating until June 29.
If my local rubbish tip is anything to go by then they should never have been closed as it is relatively easy to police social distancing by controlling the vehicles entering the site, which was normal practice at the site anyway! 
Instead we now have a massive increase in fly tipping blighting our countryside thanks in no small part to a muddle headed Welsh gov.
Ive been getting a lot of texts over the last few days-all telling me things I knew/was doing already.Ive also had 2 phone calls advising me to register with the helpline -which I'd already done.Also I get messages with different timescales.One said end of June,another July.😨Reminds me of the saying about waiting for a bus........
As for easing lockdown:I wonder how much of what we read in the media is fact or just exaggerated speculation.I have become resigned to the idea that I may have to stay in for a long time to come.
As MMR says, Scotland is not going to ease restrictions, thank goodness. Only concession might be an increase in exercise time. Unlike Westminster, Nicola Sturgeon shares her reasoning with the public, treating us as adults. She has published 2 papers about options and asked for our opinions on possible ways to ease lockdown in the future.
I am so glad that she is trying to make sure that we don't end up with a second spike.
This is people's lives we are talking about. Surely we can follow the rules to reduce the appalling loss of life from this virus? If everyone decides to do it their way, we will be back at square one. I for one ,don't want that on my conscience

I had a text a couple of days ago saying I had to shield until june 30th which is 2 weeks longer than first told by my rheumatologist. I think there will be a 2and wave if they lift restrictions as expected so are being extra safe for us that need it. I also think that it will last longer than that though.
