Benepali side effects

Hi everyone....hope you are all well and safe. I started benepali two weeks ago and this past week has left me physically and mentally exhausted. I know it will take time to work but im in more pain now than before treatment. I am exhausted from the moment i wake up despite having 8 hours sleep. Anyone else go through this and will it get better? X

If you only started Benepali 2 weeks ago I think its unlikely to be that causing your problems. Exhaustion and fatigue sound more like untreated RA because your new drug has not started working yet, particularly if you're not taking any other drugs for your RA.

Hi we’re all different but it took benepali about 12 weeks to start making a difference for me as well as methotrexate and hydoroxoquine still get days were I have no energy my consultant is still tweaking different things if no better in 6 weeks so hang in there x

Thank you. Will see if i can get to speak to nurse tomorrow about it. Im not taking any dmards just benepali.x

Ask if they will allow you to have a short course of steroids if you are really struggling and in pain. Otherwise, unfortunately I think you will just have to stay rested and wait for the Benepali to start working.
