Does anyone know if using CBD (cannabis products) could interfere with Methotrexate or Carbimazole? Thanks in advance

I think you should discuss with the rheumy nurse before taking any supplements, just to be sure xx

Thanks for the reply. I can't get access to any of the Rheumatology team at hospital because of Coronavirus but I did ask my GP via the telephone. She didn't know and suggested I ask in a forum! I'm really sore at the moment and thought CBD might help with pain relief but I'm worried it might interfere with my meds. X

Definitely check I was taking turmeric with black pepper and caused issues for me. It was the black pepper. Always worth checking.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was worried about. As a result of no access to hospital clinics at the minute, I thought I'd ask if anyone on here had any information. Thanks again. X

Hi Kamur, in my personal opinion CBD oils will not interfere with you mtx, I’ve tried the cbd oils on and off for years and take mtx, personally I believe they’re a waste of money, however that’s just me, probably more of a placebo than anything else. I don’t even think doctors would know as there is no scientific or measurable data suggesting one thing or the other so if you want to give the cbd oils a go then do, the mtx will still work,

To conclude mtx does not mix well with alcohol especially in hotter climates.
