Yes, I have - always in my right arm. I put it down to just another of the wonderful array of problems RA gives us🙄. To be fair since increasing my dose of MTX this hasn't happened for a few months now. I feel for you, it is excruciating.

Yes I have. Quite often. In both shoulders sometimes making it almost impossible to lift your arms.

It does come and go, as you say. I simply put it down to the old RA letting me know it's still there - just in case I got any ideas it'd faded into the background.

Doesn't seem to be much you can do other than painkillers and time. It'll pass.

Yes, I have pain and cramping (horrible) in my shoulders, arms and wrists with pinkish hot skin along the length of the muscles / tendons.

I'm just about to change drugs to try and get it under better control.

I also get in my knees and ankles, but less debilitating.

Hi, yes I have bursitis in both shoulders atm. Can't lift either arm up - such a pain... literally! One tip though: put your top on and take it off whilst bending over. Sounds weird but it saves you from having to lift your arms which is impossible 😏

May well be coming from your neck, either inflammation or arthritic changes causing nerves to pinch, which can feel like sore muscles. Lots of stretching can help.

I've had this problem recently during a flare. It was in both arms originally and now mostly just in the left one. It seems to be going as the flare subsides - feels like my methotrexate injections are starting to kick in. It was worse in the night and morning; I found that using painkillers to allow me to get moving helped - it eased off with gentle stretches but initially was too painful to do that. You have my sympathy.

I have an almost constant dull ache in the muscles from shoulder to elbow - mostly in left arm; also across my upper back and shoulder blades. I’m assuming it may be coming from my shoulders and/or neck. I think it’s improving a bit since my methotrexate was increased. I also take a couple painkillers in the morning which helps and as others have said I find that stretching is good.

Yes I have it. It gets better as the day moves on but its worse first thing in the morning and in the middle of the night. I would tell your consultant to make sure you are on the right dose or they might give you something to lift the edge of
