Confirmation vulnerable

My lovely Rheumy nurse just got back to me( emailed her 10 days ago) apologies sent because she has taken so long to get back and she’s not due back at work until the 7th April and has just started working from Home..... take it she’s had C19.... I take methotrexate and Entanercept and that puts me in the vulnerable section. Letters have not gone out yet as they are still in the process of processing them but should get one soon there are so many to send . I live in Birmingham

Letters are on the way just not as quick as we would like.

Hope this helps

Is this because of comorbidities that you need to shield as I’m on the same meds but not been told to shield. Inconsistent and confusing 😕

in reply toKittyJ

She said I’m on 2 immunosuppressants so vulnerable. It is confusing lots of different advice out there. I’ve only just started biologic and RA not controlled completely. Does this have something to do with it 🤷🏽‍♀️I don’t know . I wish it was more consistent

So she didn’t say very high risk just vulnerable? It is so confusing I’ll be glad when it’s all sorted 🤷🏻‍♀️

We ARE all vulnerable!

This virus attacks the lungs.

If your immune systems are suppressed by drugs, then it leaves you more vulnerable to the virus.

This shilly-shally approach by the medical fraternity is utterly irresponsible and downright dangerous and will cost many folk their lives!

Was on MTX, but stopped a couple of weeks back.

I'd sooner hobble about with my immune systems tickety-boo than kick the bucket. 😂😂😂
