Not enough evidence yet to say one way or another. The media hype up every scrap of news like crazy, so personally I’m trying not to get hopes up until it has been proved.

Sorry this is not just hype. Lots of news from all over the world talking about positive results. The latest theory has to do with why Africa has so few cases. Fact is that hydro is used against malaria in Africa more than anywhere else. Anyways it was used and is used in Japan China, and France.

I also believe. Maybe Something good about this drug. I know trumps a clown but he might know something he mention it way too many times. You tell the clown something he can’t keep his mouth shut!! He needs to take credit!!

It is quite unbelievable to hear them speak of Hydroxy! Lets hope!

It’s probably a selfish attitude if hydroxychloroquine is going to cure the world but I hope that after Trump’s announcement that it will not cause a shortage for those of us who take it for RA.

It may not stop it but make it weaker.

It was originally used for malaria. Certainly not enough evidence yet . I believe they think it worked for some but not for others. I don’t really believe they know what they are fighting yet do how can they treat it. Just my thoughts

Since there is a crisis all rules cannot be followed especially since Hydroxy is the lest toxic of RA meds and is used by people going to malaria infected places. It may not be very effective but effective enough to been tried in many countries.

Except some people are allergic, so can’t be handed out like sweeties.

Maybe Sanofi have been telling us porkies and were stocking up to make Trump look a hero. No offence meant here to any currently infected or have sadly lost people close to them. The lack of info re cause of death in various countries and coronavirus being blamed for everything somehow does NOT sound right. I've lost count of the times I've read how people have taken Plaquenil that allegedly isn't available in the last five years that I have wondered. How would newly diagnosed know this name? Please, before I ramble more have a look at drugs.com for me.

After reading an article this morning then checking drugs.com, wiki and everything I could suddenly I see covid-19 on hydroxychloroquine . . . I'll say no more.

Keep well everyone. The panic and mayhem this has caused has probably caused more flares in other disease than normal.

Take care everyone,x

The Surgeon General said that it was untested for C19 and there was no scientific evidence backing up Pres Trump's claims. I trust the scientists, but I'm nervous about being able to refill my prescription.
