Should I go out to social club tonight
Going out: Should I go out to social club tonight - NRAS
Going out
It is a decision only you can make really, if it helps I went out to a show yesterday evening. No one coughed or sneezed over me but I'm aware they may have no symptoms so am not going to worry. Life goes on somewhat different in lots of ways but caution is advised but not social isolation just yet.
If I stop going out now it might be months before I see a different face but that doesn't mean I'm going to be foolhardy. Whatever you decide enjoy your evening.
Not a decision for others. I have been to shops and so touching places and objects and I go back home and wash my hands really well. Then I think “What about my clothes and what about when I get items out of the cupboards do I wash hands again?” Answer is you got to make your own decision.
I’m going to a family do tonight with kids back from Uni, including my daughter. But next week I should have been going to a pub thing and I’m not doing that. I’ve had pneumonia before, about 30 years ago but not since. It nearly killed me then but I was on much stronger stuff than I am now and my bone marrow had been compromised. I smoke roll-ups (4/5 a day) but have no smokers cough generally and I think my lungs and heart are strong but our bloods are weird aren’t they? Had vasculitis once after a traumatic time with healing after an operation. Nobody could really tell me why 🤷🏼.
Just take care and if you think something may be a risk too far, don’t do it.
All take care and send love, luck and blessings to all of the people suffering with our conditions and similar.
It's my understanding that it's hard surfaces, inc skin that the virus sits around on. Soft furnishings and clothes it doesn't lanquish on in the same way.
As others have said..it’s your decision to make and how you feel in yourself. A night out can do us good especially to get away from the media etc BUT having said that I’m only making essential trips out and walking my dogs in the fresh air away from crowds. Have a good evening whatever you decide to do x
