Imraldi delayed :(

So I was supposed to be starting imraldi, the hospital has just called me tonight, to let me know they are delaying the prescription due to the coronavirus. They don't think I should be starting a new biologic course right now... But my benepali prescription has been stopped. I'm freaking out, I'm in peak pain at the mo and not coping! she is checking with the consultant to see if they are still happy for me to stay on the steroids, that my gp gave me because I've been so bad.... I cannot stop my steroids, I'm struggling even with them. I know that the coronavirus is possible super serious, potentially life threatening but who knows when I will be allowed to start imraldi. I cannot cope

It must be so frudtrating for you, particularly when in such pain. To be honest I think very sound advice from your specialist though. I personally wouldn't want to be starting a new bio drug right now. Can you see if you can get more adequate pain relief to keep you going for a while?

I know it's the sensible decision, but I feel the light at the end of the tunnel has gone out. Its a hopeless situation. I'm sure I will feel better tomorrow about it and not so upset.

Hi, I was also due to start Imraldi today but been told to postpone.

I'm sorry to hear that, it's so disheartening. I feel more optimistic today (I'm a Cryer.... I cried alot last night) I'm sure it's the right thing, it's too risky... So I will just have to find more ways of coping x
