I read in 2 different newspapers that a vaccine was ready to be tested on humans. Look up Dr Kate Broderick in California.

Each country seems to have a different answer to the vaccine appearance question.

But as tests on animals have not even started in any reputable laboratory

‘any time soon’ doesn’t seem likely.

A spokesperson for the BMA reckons 12/18 months & said “that would be great...it used to take 10 years”

I did see they might add something to the annual influenza vaccine used in the UK, but we will just have to ‘wait & see’.....& keep washing our hands!

In Scotland, a Dr had one ready to be tested on humans in April.

I wonder who will volunteer to test it?

50 people apparently are ready to be tested on. They do not have the virus

But if that is allowed, I wonder how long they will wait before submitting the results to the CDC? I can’t see them agreeing to Licensing it until all the guinea pigs are alive & well....and for how long?

These trials would only be looking at whether it induces an immune response, so results would be available fairly quickly. Testing ability to prevent infection would take quite a bit longer.

The vaccine in unlikely to be a live vaccine, so should be perfectly safe, and I would have no hesitation in volunteering.

Sounds hopeful
