Hi Deeb,
I often feel it’s the other way round... we are chronically ill with incurable (yet) disease, not interesting at all, therefore inadequate research funding in spite of RA being far more prevalent, comparatively speaking, than other more ‘popular’ or well known diseases and chronic conditions.
I had a chart somewhere that clearly shows the numbers affected by these better supported conditions compared to RA; cannot post it in a response here anyway!
Hope you soon find your medication giving benefits.
charisma yes it is under funded and researched which is a shame but one thing I have learnt from it, is when I talk to family friends or co workers is how little they know or heard of RA. However explaining the issues that can arise, helps them understand it is more than a few creaky joints.
It is a frustrating illness for those that cannot be medicated to remission or who work out 'a way' that is best for them.
I know if someone had said this time last year I am where I am right now I would have scoffed. SO much change in so little time.
But going to keep pushing forward for a positive light at the end of a tunnel.
Deeb, hope you find a new med which works for you soon, as I know you're really going through it right now. Love reading your posts - they are always positive and give me a lift, so thank you💐
Dobcross1 ahh thank you I am the glass if full type person as hubby always says but I have to be as he is always on empty! I have the odd moment of hating it all but I also know it is wasted energy and need to get back on the damn horse!
As Hidden reminded me now off MTX I can have a G&T this weekend!
Hope you have more than just one 🍸🥂not worth opening a bottle otherwise 😁 you deserve it .. cheers 🥂
I’m So medically interesting I’ll be frozen future medical interest 😂😂🙄
