So I have been to see my rheumatologist today regarding ill health retirement. He has agreed to write me a letter which I can use. However I have recently finished chemotherapy for lymphoma and it has done my Ra, lupus, vasculitis the world of good and I no longer have any symptoms from this. He has said that in the letter he will include this and say he cant guarantee if my symptoms will come back or not. I'm worried now that they'll look at this as if I'm 'cured' and should be going back to work. Am I worrying for nothing? Worse case scenario can I just not use the letter as evidence and just use my clinic letters stating my medical conditions? Thanks for taking the time to read this 💜

Honesty is the best policy. I would bow chat to your union rep for advice and then together take all your evidence to your manager and ask maybe I think for a meeting with occy health and personnel. The amount of illnesses and co minorities you have are a lot, some folks cant work with just one if them.
In this game as you know you have to be your own advocate and tell them as if is. It's ok saying I feel ok today as none of us with these illnesses know how we would feel in the morning. Can you really say you can be 100% every shift of those 40hrs, day and night...no, and thus is what you need to tell your rep.
Its good your rheumy is of course supporting you. Goid luck and keep in touch!
I got ill health early retirement. It’s not a once in a lifetime opportunity. If RA symptoms come back you can apply again! Take care.
