Lucky you ITALY. You can get a letter from your clinic for travelling also a mini sharps bin on prescription. Always carry your medication in your hand luggage. Enjoy Italy 🇮🇹😁

Yes, whoever gives you your MTX should be able to give you a letter to carry with you. I don’t bother with a sharps bin, but take the metoject in its box and then pop it back in the box after and carry it home. The whole point about the pens is that you can’t get a needle stick injury.

They can go through the scanners with no problem (despite what healthcare at home say) and you need to keep them with you. As J1707 says, never in the hold!

Hiya, I have a letter from my RA consultant that I carry (take a photo copy of it) I take my MTX injections in my hand luggage. Once I've used them I put them back in the box and wrap them in a see through plastic bag back in my hand luggage. I travel frequently and have never been stopped or questioned.

Have a great time! 😊

Hi, you don't say which day your injection is due, as you are only going for 3 to 4 days you could take it before you go, or resume when you get back, this would save you getting mixed up with airport security, which can be a lengthy job, I have been pulled, complete with letter by two security guy's, who really weren't nice so I asked to see the duty manager, she was very nice and understood, so I have never carried a pen since.

The airport need to send there security personal on courses about medical issues and how to talk to people and respect them,

i’m going monday to thursday and don’t take my injection till friday so i’m hoping i’ll be okay and not delayed to just take it normally on the friday, i’m sure if worse comes to worse and i am delayed then a day late won’t hurt

You will be ok, leave the pen behind and enjoy your time away, have jab on return

I Dont bother with it if it is for a short time as it stays in your system.
