RA hangover after yesterday’s rugby World Cup final

Hey everybody!

Haven’t spoken to you in a while. I’m so happy because South Africa won the rugby World Cup. I had a huge party, danced and sang for hours after the game, and I had some beer(not a lot). Today I have what I call an RA hangover(without the headache). My joints are hurting so badly after last night’s celebrations. I already had tramadol but that didn’t help. Anyway, other than that I’m doing amazingly well, my meds are working so well and my head is in the clouds because South Africa are world champions for the first time in 12 years. The joint pain I’m feeling today is so worth it. I’m so proud. How are you all doing? I’m going to sleep this RA hangover off. Definitely need some rest. Oh, and my summer vacation started on Friday. I’m so happy.

Yes Congrats on a great win! Another good step forward for SA rugby.

Wish I was there now looking forward to summer not here looking forward to a dreary old winter!

No sympathy with the hangover though!

I take it you're South African, either that or you're Welsh?! :-)

Not dancing around for joy perhaps, but as a Welshman I'm really glad South Africa won. My jubilation is not sour grapes that Wales were knocked out, deservedly so the way they played in my opinion, and nothing against the English team or supporters either as England was the best UK side by some way and were fantastic against the All Blacks. I'm just thankful that we won't be hearing the media endlessly spouting on about an England win from now until god knows when! :-O

Among the worst culprits for that are the two main terrestrial TV channels, namely the EBC (English Broadcasting Corporation) :-) and ITV.

What a relief that is! :-)

Congratulations on a well deserved win. Sometimes it’s worth a RA hangover... gotta live sometimes 😁

Ticked off because England lost to South Africa! We were full of hope after beating the All Blacks but well done anyway. 😛

I keep telling my husband when he’s in the doldrums about his team losing that in every match one of the teams is going to lose so they just have to suck it up.

Shame that England didn’t win but I’m really pleased for SA - the team captain’s story of how he came from the townships is amazing and inspiring and that it was a mixed race team must give hope to everyone in his position. Besides SA played best on the night.

Hope the hangover is better. Congratulations. 😉

Kitty50ffff I just love your post. Happy days summer here and an RA hangover. Your team won what a fab way to start summer.

I’m just back from a three week holiday in South Africa. To say it was lively there with the locals was an understatement! Plenty of Castles being downed😉. And my Bokke mates there have been winding me up since Sunday. But they are a great bunch and well done to them.

The win means so much to South Africa. I'm absolutely delighted! A fantastic morale boost, long overdue. Everyone celebrating together!

I watched it live in OZ. Congrats to the Saffas - it was a well executed win, and I feel important for the country - Y‘know - moving on with post Apartheid - and the Captain spoke really well, so I’m happy for you all.

As to, too much dancing, it’s not great for the RA, but that win was great for the spirit! You may need to rest for a while ..... cheers Deb :)
