Hi Everyone,

So I was wondering if anyone has ever messed up and taken their medication a little too close together?

Hi Jarme

Can you please explain a little about what you mean about taking medication too close together so that the group can respond correctly to your question....

Hi FurBaby,

I took my Sulphasalazine 5 1/2 hours apart! I usually take it 7 to 8 hours apart! I usually take 2 pills twice per day.

Please remember Jarme that we can only give our own personal advice... And should you have concerns you should always contact your GP or the person looking after your health...

If that was me and it was just a one off I don't think I would be too concerned... If I was feeling alright... But I would take action if I felt unwell..

Let us know how you get on

X

I have take sulfasalazune close together as I take it 3 times a day. And often forget my 3oclock one so I either take it when I think of it which could be 4 hours between or I miss it completely and just take the night one. I have always been ok though. Good luck

I used to take 6 tablets a day, and would occasionally take 3 very late at night and then three very early the next morning and it never seemed to upset me. But always ask your own doctors if you are concerned.

Hi, I take mine usually at 7am and then 12.30 pm. I've been taking it for absolutely years with no issues at all, bloods always ok.

So I'm no Dr but I've been fine with no problems so hopefully you'll be the same, if you are worried contact the Dr or you're rhumy nurse. 👍👍

Honestly, I’m hopeless and always messing it up. I’m still here to tell the tale 😀

My normal regime when I took MTX tablets was with meals so 8am breakfast, 2pm lunch, 8pm evening meal. If we were going out in the evening (which was quite often as we had clients to entertain) I took my evening MTX an hour or even 2 hours early with no ill effects. Saved taking my tablets out with me & farting about finding something to take them with. With it being MTX I figured some people are asked to take them in one dose so it wouldn’t be a problem but with SSZ are you asked to space them out to a specific time, I don't remember?

Nomoreheels,

Thank you for replying! I believe you are suppose to take them 6-8 hours apart. No more than 8 hours between. 😃

Ok, so if it's no more than 8 hours between then taking them earlier than that shouldn’t be against the law, if you feel ok that is.! ☺️
