Hi BL, do you have a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis, a systemic disease caused by your own autoantibodies ie your immune system attacking healthy joints and soft tissues?

This community is for those with RA or other autoimmune inflammatory disease.

I hope you find the pain decreases overnight with rest.

It has not to my neck but other joints I’ve strained or Jared. It’s probably put your joints under stress and caused inflammation. Sorry It can take sometime to recover .

Perhaps you need assessment of RA effects on your cervical spine. I think I do too but have not pushed for it yet.

All of us need gentle physical treatment from others. Maybe your employer does not know that they have legal responsibilities to make accommodation for your needs?

There are good links for info via Gov sites or on NRAS website. HTH!

I have problems with the joints in my neck and discs and it does go into spasm if I am jolted or my head is knocked. Sounds like it could be a similar reaction but you might want to mention it to your rheumy if you notice other symptoms in your neck.
