Hi all wondering if any of you take hrt as I have heard different opinions on taking it when having rheumatoid arthritis but menopause symptoms are driving me mad.!

Hi, yes I’ve used HRT patches for years. My doctor doesn’t exactly approve but says if they improve my quality of life especially with the RA, then he’ll carry on prescribing them. I only use a small dose these days.

I'm on patches, and have been for years. GP wants me to come off them but I'm refusing to be bullied. They do help with the RA and same as you, I couldn't cope with menopause as well.

That's good to hear will give them a try

I'm not allowed to have HRT as I had an Oestrogen related Breast Cancer and after a mastectomy and chemotherapy I was given an anti hormone drug to take for 5 years.

I asked to be put on HRT before I was diagnosed with RA, the consultant and dr haven't said I shouldn't be on it and to be honest I don't think I could put up with more symptoms than I have already.
