Hi, yes I’ve used HRT patches for years. My doctor doesn’t exactly approve but says if they improve my quality of life especially with the RA, then he’ll carry on prescribing them. I only use a small dose these days.
I should ring the rheumy nurse to ask, or ring the NRAS helpline, helpline@nras.org.uk

Great think ill give it a go.
Hi yes I'm on HRT and it's fine.
I'm on patches, and have been for years. GP wants me to come off them but I'm refusing to be bullied. They do help with the RA and same as you, I couldn't cope with menopause as well.
I'm not allowed to have HRT as I had an Oestrogen related Breast Cancer and after a mastectomy and chemotherapy I was given an anti hormone drug to take for 5 years.
So sorry to hear that thanks for the reply
I asked to be put on HRT before I was diagnosed with RA, the consultant and dr haven't said I shouldn't be on it and to be honest I don't think I could put up with more symptoms than I have already.
I can’t take HRT orally as it will pass through liver and I’ve had liver tumours in the past. But I can use oestrogen cream as it does not and this helps...
