My poor ankles and feet

I’ve been limping for 12weeks . My feet and ankles are so painful. Still trying to get a cancellation appointment. Sent photos to clinic nurse said she would pass them on to the consultant and I should here from her today. I’ve had no contact 😞still waiting

Update 2 days on still waiting.😞have sent email no response.

Further update now day 3. 2 telephone conversations they are still waiting to speak to consultant. Speak to different nurse every time.

Now have the email address of head nurse and keeping a record of emails.

In a similar position, hope you get seen soon! It's the worst, not being able to get around how you'd like

Yeah mine are the same. It’s hell isnt it. I’ve got the ice packs out and I’m sitting with my feet raised but with a cushion under my knees too for support. Drinking as much water as I can but still getting up and walking a little every hour or so just so I don’t seize up completely. I hope you get your appointment sorted soon. If not go see your GP even if they can’t do anything or won’t they can contact rheumy on your behalf at least.

I personally would get on the phone with them and ask what’s taking so long. Except I wouldn’t be nice about it. You probably would IDK.

Keep chasing rheumatology up...don't give up, remind them how long you have been waiting.

My ankles look similiar, but I started on Baricitinib yesterday.

I recall the first time I spoke to my GP and rheumy about foot problems, only to be told it wasn't RA.

Second time I asked the rheumy if he'd ever thought of asking other patients.

Third time he had and accepted the problem exists.

Smh.

Constant soaking in basins of cold water and ice packs alleviates the swelling and itchy burning sensation, but, obviously, is only a help and not a cure and painful regime of exercises seems to help as well.

Not what you're looking for?
