I had a new shoulder in march 18. I still get bouts of a sort of stinging pain, especially buckling my seatbelt in car.

Some days it is achy too

Sorry to hear that Ladyjan, got some steroids from one of my Quacks (doctors) & am hoping it calms the flare up down. To be fair, it seems to be working & am feeling optimistic again. Take care Mac.

Hi, I had a part shoulder replacement 3 years ago, but still get some pain, but not half as much as I had previously. When I asked my Rheumatoid nurse why this is, she said, that they leave some of the sinovial fluid behind, and it is this that contributes to the inflammation. ???

Thanks Callabag64 for your reply, that does seem a sensible answer & a lot better than what the Quack said to me, That said he was an Eastern European & being a lot deaf couldn't really understand what he was saying I had to keep saying pardon, sorry etc ect. Like I said earlier though, It seems a lot better today although I had a bit of pain in my hip. As you all probably all know, bloody thing keeps moving around & causing havoc willy nilly. Thanks for the replies, they're very much appreciated.

Hi, I have had 4 surgeries on my right shoulder. 2 of them were shoulder joint replacement one normal the last one reversal joint replacement. I still have severe pain with my shoulder and bicep area. The scar is very tender I found a lotion that has cbd in it, that when i rub it on the scar an shoulder the pain goes away for several hours. I ask my orth about this an he had no answer. I don't want no more shoulder joint surgeries on that arm. My left shoulder needs surgery but I won't cause of how this one isn't do that great.

I had surgery in the past that went nice but it wasn't a joint replacement on that shoulder.

All this surgery was from a car accident where I got T-Boned.

Sorry to hear about your condition SassyZee, had both my shoulders done & they seemed to be OK for years. I had trouble elsewhere knees, ankles. wrists etc etc but was put on Retuximab & was ok for 10 years, all seemed to be well & I only had the occasional small flare up but In 2017 I had an heart attack & was taken off Retuximab & other R/A treatment. It was alright till everything settled down with the heart but now the R/A is back, I got back on Retuximab eventually but it doesn't seem to be the same now & I am having a lot more flare ups although small ones. Got a lotion in Spain which helped a lot so ordered it on-line but it doesn't seemed to have the same effect as the original one, Will look out for a lotion with CBD in it & give it a try & thanks for your input, hope you get more relief in future & I feel for you. I truly know what it feels like.
