Shoulder
Sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Really hope it doesn't last much longer. Is there anything that eases it at all? X
Just taken some pain relief x
Shoulder pain is horrible and causes a vicious cycle of no sleep and pain. Usually it is my knees that play me up the most but when the shoulder joins in that pain is worst and every time you move the shoulder is affected. I found an electric heat pad is helpful as the heat is constant and if by chance (if only) you fall asleep it will turn off automatically after a while. With microwave bags you have to move more often to reheat. Farm
Thank u very much lady's it much appreciated xx
I struggled for almost a year with dreadful shoulder and arm pain while waiting to find a med that worked. I was sent for physio and hydrotherapy but nothing worked as the pain was from inflammation pure and simple. Have you spoken to your rheumatologist about it? I'm happy to say mine eased once I was on methotrexate so I can enjoy life again but you have my sympathy. The only thing that helped me apart from the anti inflammatory Celebrex was one of those U shaped pillows. I use it at night and wouldn't be without it. I even took it on holiday with me. Hope you feel better soon x
Thank u for all ur kind messages it's very nice to know that people on here know what ur going through xxx
I had it bad in both shoulders when I first got RA, so know what you are going through. I described it as feeling like someone had stuck those old fashioned skewers into my shoulder joints and were twisting them around!😰 the only relief I got was putting large bags of frozen peas (don't laugh!) wrapped in dishcloths onto both the shoulders. then I got steroid injection (in the bum! ) oh the relief! My thoughts are with you.
It's sooooo painful, getting pain in hand aswell xx
Hi Deejojo
I feel for you. I had this and finisihed up in A & E for 4 hours trying to get it sorted. The pain was unbearable. After 4 hours I was given 2 Tramadol and was told that they should sort me out. They didn't.
My pain seems to follow a pattern of flare up then gradually subsiding after 4 days.
The only thing that seems to help me is Diclofenac and Paracetamol and if that fails it's begging the doctor for steroids.
Seems a bit easier today poor u xx
If the pain is unbearable then ask for a steroid injection. The relief is almost immediate and can last for 2-3 months. If it's just 1 or 2 joints you can get them done individually. Hope you get it sorted out soon.
It's a lot better today was agony though seems very strange that's it was sooooo bad and now it's eased up but thank you everyone for ur kind support x
