Steroid shot for allergies

Within an hr of getting my shot, my legs have been cramping horribly! I'm hoping better tomorrow. I now remember why I would not get this shot again. Nothing stops it that I have found, I feel like ive done squats for a solid wk. But on a good note I can breath!

I've had a couple of steroid reactions especially in my thumb joints where the pain and stiffness has been awful . It took about a week and I was so sorry pleased I had it done . Keep gentle movements and keep up with your pain relief . If you have increases redding of the site and begin to feel unwell please go to your gp . Wish you well 🌷

Breathing is very useful so that shot was worth it. It's a very old remedy for cramp but a small glass of Indian Tonic water (that's the one with quinine in it) helps calm or even prevent attacks of cramp. Himself and I both take a glass before bed and we haven't had cramp since. You may or may not want to add gin! I blooming hate cramp so you have my sympathy

I'm unsure of what's available in the US but here in the UK generally two types of injectable steroids are used (for RD anyway). They are Depo- Medrone & Kenalog. Can you remember if the steroid you had this time was the same as previously when you had leg cramps? My thought process is that I don't respond to Depo-Medrone, I've had two general ones, the first I had one day's relief around a week post injection & the second I has no response to whatsoever. Another member here wondered if I'd respond better to Kenalog. Therefore my question to you is if maybe if you ask for an alternative you may not get leg cramping? Worth asking.

Get some Fever Tree Tonic water it contains quinine which stops cramp. I had terrible cramps during night lasting ages made me cry. I take a small mixer can at bedtime. If it's really bad take one during the day too. Also bananas are good . Hope this helps. Cramps are horrendous.
