I have had burning feet that comes and goes and have been told that it’s all part of RD. started Erlezi injection last week. As the week has gone on the burning in my feet has become extreme and has spread to my legs ( as far as my knees) and I can’t sleep . emailed my nurse to see should I take my next dose tomorrow. Is this part of RD? Or a reaction to the drug? Still waiting for a response. Not sure what to do.

Burning painful tingling
I would ring again and say you need an urgent reply... failing that maybe try your GP xx
We can’t give medical advice and only you can judge whether this change is more than a small thing. But if you can’t get hold of your rheumy department then maybe try ringing 111? Better safe than sorry.
I have what is called burning feet syndrome, it's not nice at all. Not very much that can be done, where cotton socks. Stress doesn't help, I am not sure if you have the same as me. Mine comes and goes, so I do get some relief. I hope you get it sorted soon.
If unsure ring the nurse who deals with you darling.xxxx
It may be peripheral neuropathy caused by the drug or unrelated. The burning is nerve pain and a sign of irritation. Talk to your rheumatoligist urgently. If you need relief Alpha Lipoic acid 600mg natural supplement helps as I use it for neuropathy not caused by my RD or associated treatment.
