I posted a while back about smoking and how it impacts RD. Well, I went against my rheumy advice a month ago to start back on leflunomide as my CPR went up to 69 from 37.
Well I just got my result and it’s down to 29 from a month ago, yippee. 😊😊😊 I quit smoking 5 weeks ago. I’m so excited, finally a bright spark, can’t wait until my next monthly test. If inflammation markers continue to drop it tells a story for me at least, that I can not and will never smoke again.

Well done you, I gave up the evil weed last October and the only thing I've noticed is that my Mtx seems to be more effective. How do I know......well after years of use, all of a sudden my hair fell out and has grown back curly!
Good on you, it’s hard to quit. My hair started falling out almost as soon as I started mtx last July, I stopped taking it in October and took leflunomide for 3 weeks then had to stop for surgery and never started again.
My hair is still falling out and is now so thin you can see my scalp. I’ve got naturally curly hair, that hasn’t changed. Funny how we like what we done have, I used to straighten it at the front and underneath at the back. Now I’m just glad I still have some. 😁.
