I understand that drs are stingy with steroids for our own good, but I can’t help feeling like a kid left alone with the cookie jar when I squeeze a week’s worth out of my rheumatologist. Merry Christmas to you!

Actually I've got them for kidney failure in huge doses they can break the hips, thin the skin, bruise etc a drug from hell. I've no choice and can't sleep, so hungry and lossing weight. Hate them. I'm taking 150mcg a day and its reviewed on the 27 th hopefully it'll be reduced. You can have mine, lol x

Hi MwayL

They are the devils drug IMHO

stopped me from being totally disabled but buggered my pancreas!

Treat with extreme caution is my advice for what is a different drug for different peeps!

Merry Chrimbo to all

I am already on steroids but I am in such a lot of pain and needed my rhumey to increase the dose until I can get the flare up under control. Not sure what caused the flare up, possibly the flu and Prolia injections which I was advised they could be done at the same time and I had pain and swelling in my arm. I hadn't had them both at the same time before and I don't usully have pain when I had them at different times. It could be the cold weather here in Canada and almost 2 months ago I had Rituxan infusions for the first time. My Rheumy increased my steroid by 5mg for a week but I am still taking it as I want to have a good Christmas with my family and not be miserable.

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and all the best for a painfree 2019. I will let my Rheumatologist know about taking the xtra med in the new year.

Take care everyone. xxx 🎅👼🌲
