Has anyone had shingles injection while on biological injections and methotrexate

It is a live vaccine, and therefore you cannot have the injection while on a biologic. It's definitely a big no no. Sorry.

Thanks for your reply. It's what I thought but my close friend has shingles and I just wondered..should I get injected..

I'm on MTX and was told no too. As hatshepsut says it's a live vaccine.

The new injection is not a live virus in the US. I have had it with no side effects I have to get a booster in a year. I am on biological infusions and methotrexate
