I'm sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis and hope you are being well cared for.

I understand there may be a link between psoriatic arthritis and addisons ? Do you have arthritic problems too ?

No I don't have psoristic arthritic, but have Osteoporosis

You might be better on the osteoarthritis site and/or thyroid site. Good luck.

I really don't know but there are quite a few posts on the Thyroid UK on this subject. If nobody here can help perhaps trying the Heathunlocked Thyroid site may give you more help? I hope this helps

I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with Addison's. Whilst there are people here with thyroid issues (you have one autoimmune disease the tendency is to collect others) this site is for people with rheumatoid & arthritis based diseases. If you don't have both you find more help on the Healthunlocked Thyroid UK site. Being a dedicated site you'll find more people to connect with there healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk.

I hope you're able to get the Addison's under control, immune conditions are notoriously difficult & Addison's is no different.

On the whole, I’m doing well. Still get extremely tired so have to pace myself. You need to listen to your body because it will let you know when things aren’t right. For the last month or two I’ve been feeling pretty yuk in the afternoons so I had a Day Curve last week which showed I needed more Hydrocortisone. Since I’ve increased it, I’m feeling better, no more nausea. Have you been told about “sick day rules” and the need for an emergency injection? Take a look at addisons.org. Lots of excellent information that you will need as it’s a very rare disease. When I was diagnosed, my GP said he had only ever come across it two or three times in his career.

There are a few recent posts about Addisons on the Lupus UK community. My friend has Addisons, Sjögren’s, pernicious anaemia and Hypothyroidism - much overlap with all these.
