Absolutely! I loathe the cold and damp. I'm turning into the tin man in need of WD40. Your view is beautiful but, for me, best seen from behind triple glazed windows with a huge log fire crackling away on the hearth.

in reply to Gnarli

Forgot to take my meds one day and could feel the joint pain creeping back and everything ceasing.

The log fire is burning at night

It doesn't take long, does it? It gets jolly chilly at night doesn't it but the days make up for it. I do hope all is going well for you and that Zina is enjoying her stay. Hugs

Have you been to Iceland HH? If you prefer the winter you would love it there. Went at new year time ( pre RA) and what a fireworks display they put on over Reykjavic. Also the aurora borealis is amazing! Had a bikini in my suitcase! Old habits die hard 😂

Yes, loved it....those were the days! We went up to the north and did loads of walking, thought the landscape was just beautiful. But sat in the wrong place for a picnic and melted my waterproof as hadn't realised steam was slowly coming out of ground.

It gets down to -20 here in winter so I am happy.

Fabulous! We took a tour of the Game of Thrones filming locations, thankfully I remembered to put ice grips on my boots! The volcanoes amazed me , the geysers and the gorgeous Icelandic horses! Funny re your waterproofs, you never know what's bubbling away there! Would definitely go back 😄

Glad I'm not the only one! The one positive of RA for me is that I'm quids in on the heating bills.

in reply to Elswick

It is hot here during the day but when the sun goes down it gets cold quickly and we still have snow on the mountains

Definitely, as long as it's not humid. Damp is another no no for me.

Lovely pic Minty.

Funny how different we are. Both warm and humid weather is great for my joints 😀just got back from a vacation to Bali. While there I felt better than I have for years 😀

Jealous of that view! Whereabouts in tge world is that. And is it too far for me to visit? :-D

No weather doesn't seem to make much difference in terms of pain and swelling. I was in agony summer. Does make a difference to mood though. Not keen on the dark mornings.

Hot weather plays havoc with me. The cooler the better as far as I'm concerned.

I need an inbetween, not to hot but it too cold. Pre RA I loved the cold.

in reply to Mmrr

It gets cold here at night this time of the year. The log fire is burning and heated floors to walk on.

Hi! That is a pretty picture!

I had to reply: I am opposite! I get a flare every April when spring arrives. By September, it calms down. It makes me wonder if there is something in the air that causes an allergy; thus encouraging my immune system to go crazy!

Yes but not if it's damp. Seem damp weather and just before it rains causes me most stiffness and pain.
