I need help

I have scalp folliculitis and herpes simplex 2. I was supposed to go on remicade but then this stuff popped up. I am in a deep depression cause maybe I won’t be able to be on any medication. I also have diabetes type 2. Not a good scenario. I am afraid I won’t be able to function in a year. Hands swelled and right wrist and elbow for now.

So sorry. I don’t know about any of those or remicade but really really hope they find something that helps you or gives some relief soon. It’s a very up and down disease

How awful. The problem with Herpes is that it still lives in the body, even when it has apparently cleared up, and recurs but the severity reduces each time. I had a Herpes lip sore once and it popped up every February almost to the day for seven years running. I get one now and again - they are horrible.

There is anti viral medication but it has bad side effects.

I'm so sorry you're in this position. I have no experience of any of your problems but I truly hope you get some help very soon. Hugs

I have problems with my scalp supposedly caused by some serious rosacea, which also affects my face and body. I wouldn't be surprised if some of it is folliculitis as the docs didn't seem too positive with their diagnosis back in the day and have give up on me because I won't take long term antibiotics. Anyway, it's a bloody unpleasant thing to have that's for sure. I also had a bout of herpes simplex 2 a few years back. No idea how I acquired that, but it certainly wasn't due to having rampant sex with different partners...chance would be a fine thing! I put it all down to having an auto immune disease and a messed up immune system. Can't really recall how long the herpes lasted, but it wasn't too long and it's hasn't returned since...fingers XXXX. Hopefully the same will happen with you.
