Cant think straight

New to site .recent diagnosis had steroid injection and awaiting next appointment at hospital. Pain and swelling getting better but really suffering with fatigue and struggling to think straight .Anyone else had this ?

Absolutely, think it’s part of it, used to get in from work & sleep for 3 hours. Used to think ‘brain fog’ was drugs side effect but wouldn’t be surprised if part of disease too. Good luck with treatment x

I've never really suffered the fatigue side of RA, thankfully - but certainly get the brain fog which I think is almost definitely part of the disease. (and in my case, older age!)

Absolutely. When the disease is active, brain fog and fatigue are awful. I struggle to remember anything, even the appropriate word for the job. It's infuriating when you have to resort to mnemonics or charades. You know, errrr, those herbivores, no hellebores. I started to think I was at the start of dementia. The fatigue is a blooming nuisance as my day is full of granny naps. As the disease dwindles I'm sure things will improve for us. Hugs
