Familial auto immune disease

Hello I’m new to the group so thank you for accepting me. I have had RA for a few years. I’m doing my masters in health care and I am particularly looking at familial Auto immune diseases. I know there is no correlation with genetics but it appears to run in families and wonders if anyone here has found the same?

Also I am not allowed to go to India due to the medication I’m on and wonders if you know of any other countries I am not allowed to go to.

Look forward to speaking to you a receiving all your input. Thank you so much

Hello, I am new to the group also. I can share with you that I was diagnoised with psoriatic arthritis recently, but he also suspected RA. My father has RA and his mother had RA and passed from it age 53. They had few treatments back in the early 1960’s. My daughter has psoriasis as well. So I do believe auto immune disease runs in families.
