Well that's not normal in anyone's book to be spending your nights in the toilet! Hope you are feeling a bit better today?

Has it been like this ever since you started MTX, or is it just this weekend? And have you eaten anything that could have given you a stomach bug? A barbecue? Deli salads? Those sorts of things, as maybe nothing to do with MTX.

Anyway if there's any blood at either end then you should call 111 for advice, otherwise if you are feeling a bit more stable today then speak to your rheumy team tomorrow,

Hope you get through to nurse soon elswick, sounds awful. I think we all tend to plod along with side effects because drugs do reduce pain, but it’s a fine balance. MTX didn’t agree with me either, even injections. X

Thanks what are you on now just got back from doctors gave me more tablets for sickness ☹️

I had cyclizine for sickness but tbh didn’t find it v effective. I am on nothing, waiting benepali delivery next week. Rheumatologist told me to come off MTX about 4 weeks ago: hands n wrists swelling up again but so nice to feel normal & not sick all the time. It definitely helped with joints but side effects did for me. Hope they sort you out or you get improvements x

As HH says, that is just not right and you need to call your rheumy helpline. I'm on MTX too and, yes, the nausea is horrible but I don't get offered any anti-sickness meds. I changed from tabs to metoject and the nausea is increasing again so they're dropping the dose from 25 to 17.5mg. I hope you get some relief very soon

I did same Jan, kept adjusting dose, switched to metiject, it’s a funny old drug. I had a few weeks without side effects (thought great finally getting used to it) then nausea came back with a vengeance. Was on it just over a

Year. Can they try something else for you, awful feeling like that all the time I know x

Sounds familiar. After swapping to metoject I had over two months of feeling great. No painkillers, no side effects. Downhill from then on. On it 18 months now and goodness alone knows what next for me. What are they offering you next? Wishing you well

Told me sulfa or lef (didn’t fancy either) then surprised me by offering benepali at last appt. I find all the drugs daunting Jan but told it doesn’t have side effects? We’ll see 😉

Lots if people here have had a brilliant result with benepali so there's no reason to suppose you won't. Fingers crossed.
