3 weeks into my Methotrexate

Does anyone get pains and no swelling with RA? I know it hasn't been long enough for me to to have any noticeable effects yet. But since yesterday every joint in my body is aching especially my knuckles, hips and shoulders. I'm feeling the cold a lot and shattered, despite being off work for the summer holidays and hoping to get hell and all done. Could be the damp perhaps. Also can I take naproxen while on methotrexate?

Hiya! I used to but now I get swelling in some places but not others that are also painful. As for meds not sure you should ask the pharmacy 💕

Yeah it bounces about the pain and swelling doesn't It. Started with my hands, wrists, ankles and knee swelling. But now settled perminent in shoulders and hips with no swelling? Bloomin odd or what?

Hi jomojo

I get a lot of pain without swelling in most of my joints especially when I’m having a flare up it seems like my whole body goes hyper sensitive and every move I make gives me pain somewhere. The tiredness and fatigue is all part of the disease and one of the unseen struggles. I’m pretty sure you can take both meds together but I would check with someone else and pharmacy as it’s been 16 years since I took Methotrexate xx Sarah ♥️

I am still under the impression if theres no swelling maybe its something else? The ridiculous tiredness is so hard too. What meds are you on now?

You can take both together. I choose not to take Naproxen, but it's still on my repeat list.

It seems like the pain is a moveable feast of joy! My wrist is permanently swollen, but little pain, whereas pain in knee and shoulder with no swelling. It seems to depend if there's an R in the month which knee it will choose 😂😀🤔

My ankles swell quite often but aren't always painful whereas my wrists and hands are often painful but don't swell often. So, it beats me. Our nasty disease doesn't seem to follow any logic or reason and is tailored just for the individual. The fatigue is the thing that really gets to me. So frustrating when , like you, I want to get things done. Hugs

Yes, I miss having any energy. I was once known as the whippet, never still and always busy. Now I'm more like the whipped and wiped. 🤣🤣

I love your phraseology but hate the need for the sentiment. It's a proper b*ggeration
